Hi! I’m Ryan and I used to be homeless and am an alcoholic. They probably say things like it is best to start with good things about yourself, but I never finished college so what do I know? I do know that my therapist recently said I am incredibly persuasive, so I hope by the end of this we can be friends.

I ended up in treatment twice to finally sort myself out and learn about me. What I learned is I hated treatment. Every bit of it. The 12 steps, the forced religion, the shame of it all. I felt as though I had to wear a badge the rest of my life displaying that I was broken and…
